Managing Ignored Search Terms

Word Filters

The Ignored Search Term filter allows you to manage common keywords that should be excluded from search phases. Excluding common words such as "this, that, and, or, the etc" can help improve the accuracy of a search and also significantly increase search performance.

Regular expressions are supported within ignored search terms. You should use word boundaries to indicate a term should only be replaced if it's not part of larger word. For example to remove "the" from search phases you would use "\bthe\b" to ensure "the" is not also removed from other keywords such as "there" or "they". Ignored search terms are NOT case-sensitive.

To manage ignored search terms go to Word Filters » Ignored Search Terms. This will present the various ignored search term options as shown below...

From this page you can add new ignored search terms, edit or delete existing ignored search terms.
